I really like photographing a ball of yarn. There are so much play between light and shadow when the yarn is wound up into a ball, so many directions that it goes. I played around with this beautiful shimmery merino wool blend in a color called Ocean Spray. Mmm, so befitting to my state of mind currently.
Even better was that I found a box that was entirely black on the inside and I thought, hmm, I wonder what this would look like if I took a picture of the ocean spray-colored yarn against the black.
And I fell in love with it.
Now I can't wait to knit something out of the yarn.
